So I've been sketching out ideas for different cake designs and my co-workers have decided they now want these cakes for their birthdays. I haven't ever used fondant but heard it was difficult to work with. It was not difficult at all. Maybe I was just lucky. But the cake above is my first fondant cake-very simple. I think it turned out very well. Too bad I live in a one bedroom apartment and don't have a baker's kitchen. I definitely could use the space! I tend to make a complete mess of the entire apartment and my boyfriend is nice enough to sometimes clean up after me. All in all, it was a painless first experience! I even dyed the fondant on my own. I could really use a bakery! Let me know if anyone wants a cake!
